Job Description
Acloche is hiring for a Welder/Assembler at a Fire Truck Company in Hilliard!
The hours are 7am-330pm, Monday-Friday.
Pay: $20/hr
SUMMARY:
Set-up, lay-out, drill, assemble and tack-up of cab finish parts and brackets. Fabricate, join and/or repair parts, fixtures and various types of aluminum objects and structures using welding tools and equipment.
JOB DETAILS:
Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
Fabricate, join and/or repair equipment, fixtures, and various types of aluminum objects and structure using MIG welding techniques.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Examine work pieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.
Check groves, angles, or gap allowance, using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
Assemble cab parts using appropriate hardware as directed.
Operate drill presses, power saws, grinders and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
Weld components and fixtures to exact tolerances.
On occasion organize and put away parts.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience Mig welding aluminum and stainless steel.
Welding trade school or apprenticeship training is preferred.
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, utilize dexterity in both hands to operate tools and controls. This includes holding, grasping, and turning. Occasional kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, balance talk and hear.
