Job Description
Quality Manager
Scope:
As the Quality Manager, you ll be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control activities on-site. You will lead a team of between 5 and 10 professionals, drive quality improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodology, and ensure the consistent application of quality tools such as FMEA, root cause analysis, and statistical data analysis. Your role will be crucial in maintaining compliance, improving processes, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of between 5-10 quality professionals.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
Oversee all aspects of product and process quality, including audits, inspections, and corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct and lead root cause analysis investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
Develop and maintain quality metrics and dashboards using Excel and Minitab.
Ensure the use of statistical tools and methods to analyze data, improve processes, and drive decisions.
Lead FMEA and control plan development for new and existing products/processes.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions.
Maintain compliance with ISO standards and customer-specific requirements.
Serve as a key point of contact for customer and third-party audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Proven experience managing teams of 5 or more direct reports
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Strong understanding of quality tools: FMEA, root cause analysis, control plans, SPC, etc.
High proficiency in Excel and Minitab
Experience working in an assembly or similar hands-on manufacturing setting
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
