Purchasing Assistant
Job Description
Acloche is hiring for a Purchasing and Parts Assistant at a Fire Truck Company in Hilliard!
The hours are 7am-4: 00pm, Monday-Friday.
Pay: $19-20/hr
SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the purchasing department with filing, data entry, verifying, and preparing purchase orders and the receipt of items.
JOB DETAILS
Locate parts from detailed drawings.
Contact vendors for parts availability, accurate delivery dates on current & past due part orders.
Follow up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
Handle phone and email correspondence with vendors.
Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered.
Navigate and utilize Sutphen s Database Systems: D365.
Review documents and data (incoming requisitions, past purchases, reconciliations, inventories, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completeness and accuracy of purchasing process.
Perform audit inventory and cycle counts.
Assist in delivering materials internally as needed. (non-forklift items)
Perform general clerical functions of the department (answering telephones, distributing purchase orders, copying, filing, faxing, etc.).
Review documents and data (incoming requisitions, past purchases, reconciliations, inventories, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completeness and accuracy of purchasing process.
Perform other miscellaneous job duties as assigned/needed by the Purchasing Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
A courteous and professional demeanor.
Skilled in PC usage and spreadsheet software including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Ability to research and interpret data.
Ability to learn new computer software.
Ability to multitask and make good decisions.
Must be detail-oriented and effective in planning and time management.
