Fantastic company with stable long-term growth is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. If you're a Manufacturing Supervisor who instills a Continuous Improvement culture, quality, and leadership, we'd love to hear from you! Pay Range: $31.50-40.00/hour plus overtime pay for time worked over 40 hours in the week. Shift: 3rd shift 11pm - 8: 00am Monday-Friday plus potential overtime on weekends (usually trending at 1 or 2 days a month). Job Title: Production Supervisor Core Responsibilities: The Production Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of safety, quality and production of their shift. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the direct supervision and training of hourly employees. This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. A Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager. Additional Responsibilities: Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment Completion of shift production and reporting paperwork Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Production Manager Meet AASHTO quality specifications for all products produced Assist with Preventive Maintenance program as required Meet wired plant compliance metrics Practice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance schedule Adhere to product sampling schedule Meet or exceed facility housekeeping expectations Daily allocation and management of available resources to accomplish the shift s assigned production duties Maintain and build job skills through company training programs Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines Ensure that all employees on the shift are properly trained in the areas of safety and quality as well as all job functions Coordinate with Maintenance and/or troubleshoot process and mechanical problems, repairs and adjustments to maximize production and safety Expedite product changeovers in an efficient manner This position should possess the following skills/knowledge: Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities Leadership skills Supervision Skills/Training Skills Motivational skills Basic computer skills Manufacturing knowledge - extrusion experience preferred Decision making and problem solving abilities Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience: 1-2 years experience as a line operator or related experience; extrusion a plus Supervisory training or related experience Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes Ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods Position requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
