Job Description
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Set up and operate a combination web printing press for the manufacture of labels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of anilox and UV inks.
Routinely reviews production, quality control, and other department records to verify accuracy and ensure timely recording of information and data processing.
Uses a web inspection system to monitor quality of print.
Preforms daily line start-up and checks.
Check job buckets, required tooling and materials before change-over start-ups.
Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience including some machine operations.
Must be detail-oriented
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
