Marion company in need of Industrial Maintenance Technicians - 1st shift
M-F - 8: 30 am - 4: 00 pm
Sat - 8: 30 am - 12 pm

Summary: Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine mechanical duties and preventive maintenance duties. Welding and fabricating of various parts for equipment. Perform lock out and tag out on all equipment. Troubleshoot all electrical and identify electrical hazards Enter all work orders and communicate with other managers within their facilities. Work with outside contractors in a timely manner to complete projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all maintenance tasks on equipment in a safe and timely manner as well as coordinate with manager parts, time frames, workload and over all projected equipment failures.

Repair hydraulics, Change Hydraulic hoses, Hydraulic cylinders, Trouble shoot Hydraulics, change filters, change pins and chains. Repair broken, cracked or fatigued equipment, Megger electric motors, Change out electrical contractors and motors. Able to identify bad motors, bearings and gearsets. Change belts, drive sprockets, gears, and conveyor parts to include rollers, guides, carrier belts. Perform all DC voltage work on cranes to ensure magnet systems are working properly for production.

Weld and fabricate all parts needed to complete equipment repairs. Fabricate handrailing, Hydraulic piping up to 4500psi, waterlines, Gas lines all heavy equipment lifting or attachment up to 150, 000 lbs. Safety guards and guard rail.

Know all lift rigging to heavy equipment and rebuild heavy equipment in a safe manner.

Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.

Operate all equipment and be able to fluently use it during operations if needed. Help with all facility work, mowing, electrical, lighting, spill containment, safety compliance, gates, timers, building maintenance, roof repairs, drain repairs etc.

Use shear, overhead crane, forklift, plasma cutter, track torch, electrical meter, Torch, Wire feed welders, SMAW portable welder, Large flat band saw, stationary drill etc. .

Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools. Collect and discard worn parts worn parts and other refuse in order to maintain work areas.

Install, replace, or change parts and attachments, according to production specifications.

Coordinate with other staff for the purpose of completing projects/ work orders efficiently.

Perform assigned maintenance for the purpose of ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.

Estimates and procures equipment, supplies, and materials for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently.

Respond to emergency facility situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.

Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

Recommend modifications to eliminate machine or machine malfunctions. All other duties as assigned.



EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRMENTS:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.

Welding/cutting/brazing experience (certification preferred); l to 3 years preferred.

Electrical experience preferred.

Millwright experience preferred.

Hydraulic tech preferred.

Mechanical Certification preferred.
