Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Clerk for our operations in Marion. 1st Shift, $17.50. Thank you.
Job Summary:
Marion Company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Clerk. This position will be responsible for providing essential support to the Maintenance department through a combination of technical assistance and meticulous inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, be proficient in utilizing database software, and have a proactive approach to ensuring efficient maintenance operations.
Maintenance Clerk Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to generate professional and accurate interoffice correspondence, including memos, reports, and other necessary documentation.
Coordinate with the receptionist station to efficiently scan all maintenance-related documentation (e.G., schematics) into the designated database software, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming maintenance parts and supplies.
Organize and shelve inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper bin locating and labeling for easy retrieval.
Maintain accurate inventory records within the database system.
Communicate necessary purchase information (e.G., receiving confirmations, discrepancies) to the Accounting department in a timely and clear manner.
Collect and organize receipts and documentation for credit card purchases made by maintenance staff and submit to the Accounting department in accordance with company procedures.
Collaborate with the receptionist station to generate a comprehensive requisition list of parts required for upcoming Preventive Maintenance (PM) projects.
Proactively obtain comparative pricing from various vendors for the identified parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Obtain comparative pricing and quotes for maintenance service requests that involve external repair teams and parts suppliers.
Diligently follow up on quote requests and purchase orders initiated by the Maintenance Manager or yourself via email and phone, ensuring timely responses and delivery.
Utilize the company's software database to track and manage the schedule for upcoming preventive maintenance and inspections
Communicate the upcoming PM and inspection schedules effectively with relevant department managers to minimize disruption and ensure timely completion.
Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance department.
