Job Description
Delaware Company in need of Machine Operators - shift hours will be: 7: 00 am-7: 00 pm for training and normal shift 3: 00 pm - 11: 00 pm M Fri.
Performs all duties, assigned or otherwise as a team member. Must support and promote a team environment. Supports, operates, and sets up various machinery in the assigned department.
Responsible for housekeeping within the department and the plant as well as all company tools assigned to the area. Cleans and maintains the condition of tooling and machinery.
Responsible to maintain safe working conditions and conducts oneself in a manner that promotes safety in all assigned duties.
Reports to the Area Coordinator the progress of assigned duties and any work-related problems that are encountered.
Responsible for the quality of all products produced. This includes but is not limited to: using micrometers and automatic gauging equipment for dimensional checks and monitoring, the visual and physical inspection of incoming and outgoing product from the work center, learning and recording S.P.C. Data and communicating problems and possible solutions through the Process Improvement Request procedure.
Trains and directs less skilled personnel within the department.
Evaluates problems with the process and product. Must have the skill to work toward a solution, including communicating and documenting information for review by the Engineering staff.
Reads and refers to blueprints for material specifications. Able to read, interpret and follow data from the T&O routing.
