Job Description
POSITION: Maintenance Technician
SHIFT: 3rd Shift, Monday-Thursday 9pm-7: 30am
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for facility and equipment maintenance. Assist in developing and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for installing and troubleshooting production machines.
2. Follow and interpret blueprints.
3. Follow and interpret schematics.
4. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of complete production lines.
5. Research new trends and technologies.
6. Complete PM in a timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Five years of experience in industrial manufacturing Maintenance or (3) years technical schooling.
Basic computer and mathematical skills.
Must have experience in troubleshooting one or more of the following PLC programs: Siemens, S5, S7, ABB, Bosch, and more.
Understand control wiring, and logic diagrams.
Heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, and stooping might be required.
Must be able to work overtime as assigned.
Responsible for assisting with improvements of the production equipment and controls to increase productivity throughout the Columbus facility.
Technician will interface with all levels of personnel to implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
Must be dedicated to, and assist in the carrying out of the goals, plans, and policies of the department. Technician will carry oneself in a manner consistent with sound principles and be responsible for following all policies, procedures, and instructions in accordance with company guidelines.
Ability to multitask, completing projects while supporting daily activities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Work in a team-oriented process by being an active participant.
Work with minimal supervision
HMI troubleshooting
Proficient in the use and programming of Servo systems (electrical and hydraulic)
AC and DC drive set-up, programming, and troubleshooting
Desire for "hands-on" engineering
Interpret component catalogs
Competitive pay commensurate with skill set. An aptitude test will be required to gauge knowledge.
