Job Description
Customer Service Assistance needed:
JOB OBJECTIVES: Individuals will provide exceptional customer assistance, disseminate accurate information and support the Real Estate Assessment Department s needs due to the 2023 Countywide Reappraisal required under Ohio law. Duties include working in a multi-line call environment, customer assistance, scheduling appointments for appraisers and appraisal staff, logging in property valuation issues, providing accurate guidance and direction if property owner disagrees with their new property value, send follow-up emails and letters, filing and scanning.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answer and direct call-ins via a multi-line phone call system;
Schedule appointments (informal reviews) for appraisers and appraisal staff;
Maintain, organize, prep files;
Filing and scanning related to the Real Estate Assessment area;
Assists with department mailings (folding and stuffing envelopes) and any other tasks deemed necessary by the Real Estate Assessment Administrator;
Assists with other real estate related projects, mailings, follow-up correspondence as needed and assigned by the Real Estate Administrator or managers pertaining to the Real Estate Assessment Department.
I. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Equipment: Ability to operate a variety of office equipment such as computer, copier, multi-line telephone software, calculator, paper shredder, fax machine, and other equipment necessary to perform duties.
Critical Skills/Expertise:
Ability to be professional at all times;
Exceptional attendance required; must be dependable; on time and report daily;
Ability to work effectively with customers and taxpayers who may be upset, distraught, irate, emotionally or mentally or otherwise unable to function within reasonable range of constructive behaviors;
Exceptional multitasking skills, but with high attention to detail required;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; including the ability to write professional letters and emails;
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendars;
Aptitude for math and to use a calculator if necessary;
Ability to work together as a team;
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Work week - 40 hours (Monday through Friday; no weekends)
8: 15 am though 4: 45 pm
hour unpaid lunch
Two 15 minute scheduled breaks (one in morning and one in afternoon)
