CNC Machine Supervisor
Job Description
CNC Machine Supervisor needed for Sunbury Company. This organization primarily operates in the Fasteners business/industry within the Miscellaneous Manufacturing Industries sector. The Company s line of business includes the wholesale distribution of motor vehicle supplies, accessories, tools, and equipment. Fasteners, Buttons, Needles and Pin Manufacturing.
SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing workers with set ups and operates CNC Machining Centers to perform various machine functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Sets up machines and equipment, programs machines and makes any modifications in machine run cycle needed for maximum tool efficiency and minimum air time.
Requisition tooling & raw material required to meet production goals.
Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
Develops and manages production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment to meet production goals, per production planner and requested prototype jobs from Engineering.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records. Confers with other supervisors and functional groups to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised, this a hands on position SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES In their daily activities this person will direct up to 10 employees in the CNC Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems, always leading by example.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Seven to ten years machine shop operations experience with three to five years supervision experience.
