Marion company in need of Accounting Clerk:
SUMMARY: The purpose of the scrap contracts and A/P clerk is to ensure the proper setup and maintenance of all scrap vendor contracts while updating scrap pricing on a regular basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prints and distribute scrap pricing publications on a regular basis.
Updates pricing on an ongoing basis as price changes
Verifies weights on scale tickets as they come.
Processes receivers in RIMAS
Emails receivers to vendors as required
Generates and send reports with month to date volumes to vendors as required.
Generates A/P bills to vendors in RIMAS and send them in accordance with the preferred method to each vendor.
Communicates as necessary with other departments
Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma or GED; two or more years accounts payable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
