Machine Operator
Job Description
West Jefferson piping company looking for Heavy Pipe Benders. Responsible for placing large metal pipes with use of machinery where it will bend pipes, in size from 2 1/2 inches or more in diameter.
Schedule: 2: 30pm -1: 00am Monday - Thursday with some overtime daily. Training could be on day shift until training is completed.
Pay Rate: $20.00
General Overview:
Manually handle and re-position pipes as needed between machines and other materials.
Ability to read and comprehend verbal instructions in English to understand equipment manuals.
Math skills required - add, subtract, multiply, divide, and ability read a tape measure.
Maintain records, take inventory and prepare reports as required.
Perform Q.A. Inspections, measure parts and look up parts drawings.
Must be able to maintain production standards on machines.
Candidates familiar with Landis Pipe Threader Machines or Pipe's Bending Machines a plus.
Flexible to complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Physical:
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs while standing, bending, walking, banding and working on equipment.
Ability to perform basic setups and minor adjustments on machines.
Working Conditions:
Factory setting, non-temp controlled, will be working with metal pipe and oil, steel toed boots required, jeans, t-shirt. Safety glasses and ear plugs provided.
Benefits:
Temp to hire within two months, pay raise depending on job and you will be part of a Union with annual raises. Additional benefits include 401k, medical insurance & two week vacation.
