Job Description
Acloche is hiring for a Welder at a Fire Truck Company in Hilliard!
The hours are 7am-330pm, Monday-Friday.
Pay: $20/hr
SUMMARY
Set-up, lay-out, and tack-up cab frame weldments and brackets for our aluminum fire truck cabs using Mig welding techniques. Must have the ability to utilize air and power tools in a team environment. Experience welding aluminum in flat, horizontal and vertical welds required.
JOB DETAILS
Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
Fabricate, jion and/or repair equipment, fixtures, and various types of aluminum objects and structure using MIG welding techniques.
Examine welding for bead size and other specifications.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Examine work pieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.
Check groves, angles, or gap allowance, using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
Hammer out bulges or bends in metal work pieces.
Operate drill presses, power saws, grinders and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
Weld components and fixtures to exact tolerances.
Detect faulty operation and/or defective materials, and notify supervisor.
Must be able to lift to 75 lbs
