Marion Company in need of Machinist, these positions will be direct hire opportunities.
Pay will be based on Skills and Experience level.
POSITION - Machinist Assistant

SUMMARY: Fabrication of parts using manual machines for the repair of machines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Fabricates and shapes parts for out of metal and composites using proper material per drawings.
2. Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
3. Assists in troubleshooting and repairing facility machinery when possible.
4. Properly sets up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, machinery, and drills accurately and efficiently.
5. Properly selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
6. Uses the proper materials according to blueprint.
7. Reads and interprets blue prints accurately.
8. Holds very close tolerances and fine finishes.
9. Refers to machine drawings when working at the shop.
10. Performs preventative maintenance on facility machinery and/or tools.

6. Maintains the shop and office equipment (hand tools, measuring tools, PC, cell phones, vehicles, safety equipment, uniforms, etc.) Notifies management if there is an issue.
7. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the facility.
8. Maintains safety and security of all work areas, both on and off site (company vehicles, doors secured in the facility, complying with all company safety and environmental policies, procedures, and practices.)
9. Uses time effectively and efficiently.
10. Carries out job effectively and efficiently.
11. Clocks in and out every day.
12. Properly program, set up, and run CNC Mazak.
13. Properly set up and run CNC Okuma.
14. Must know Solid Works.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES
1. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
3. Must be energetic.
4. Must be able to work with little supervision.
5. Must have knowledge of metrics.
6. Must be willing and able to work with others.
7. Must be team oriented.
8. Must exercise good judgment at all times.
9. Must possess a valid driver s license and clean driving record.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES
1. Experience in a Japanese cultured environment.
2. CPR Training Certificate.
