Responsible for operating and maintaining wick insert machine. Must monitor quality and report any deficiencies to supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up machines with correct wick
Visual inspection for defects
Read and interrupt equipment manual and work orders
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work environment
Ability to multi-task
Clean and restart machine as necessary
Feed materials to machine and keep production running
Other duties as assigned
Effective verbal and written communication
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Must be able to stoop, bend, sit, stand, kneel, crawl, crouch, talk and hear for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently
Must have good close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
High School Diploma or GED
12 months related experience as Machine Operator
Equivalent combination of experience and education
Basic Computer skills required
