Material Handler
SUMMARY
Manage daily movement of materials in the warehouse. Organizes materials, and the receiving of goods via truck or parcel shipments. Responsible for but not limited to ERP/MAS500 data entry and any subsequent duties related to the entry of this data. PLEASE SEE EXTRA FOR DOOR CODE. This position is for a Material Handler 2 which requires more skill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the organization of materials.

Maintain FIFO (first in first out)

Works with production and material pickers to correct material issues.

Organize and pick materials for disposition.

Assist material handler with returns.

Contribute and assist in continuous improvement projects.

Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned by the Logistics Group Leader.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous Shipping and/or Receiving experience a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong basic skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS
PC skills to include at minimum Microsoft Word and Excel.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fork lift certification required.
