Description: Material Handler
Job Purpose: Cycle counting, labeling, reconciliation and moving inventory, as well as performing transactions in M2M computer system
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Transfer completed parts to inventory and distribute as required
Pull, label and issue materials and supplies from stockroom for job orders
Organize materials and supplies on shelves in specific stock locations
Sorts, counts, and checks raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts and performs
Cycle counting, labeling, reconciliation and moving inventory
Fills orders from material bills and requisitions.
Maintains and files necessary clerical records including stockroom status reports, parts shortage reports, and specific parts
Advises management of discrepancy in material bills and inventory levels
Access information on a computer and perform inspections for inventory purposes.
Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment and support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
Perform all necessary 7S tasks as directed by Management
Proper handling of perishable and sensitive material
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
Operate per established Company Policies and Procedures
Other tasks as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of experience in warehouse environment with experience in inventory procedures/material handling in a manufacturing environment required
Experience with perpetual inventory and any MRP systems (Specifically Made 2 Manage is a plus) for inventory data entry
Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels within the company
Detail oriented with excellent computer skills using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project)
Lifting of up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, assets, and techniques used for maximizing the manufacturing of products
Standing on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day, in non-climate controlled environment
Must be able to take finished job orders, review part #, issue them properly in the system and assist material flowing through the plan.
Organize and distribute parts and materials to designated assembly centers and inventory.
