Job Purpose: Responsible for coordinating facility schedule, customer support and supervision of personnel.
Work to develop standard product stocking program, MRP implementation, productions changeover, and product flow optimization processes.
Work closely with sales team to determine product lead time and optimize production schedule for financial and customer requirements.
Work with sales team to identify product customization feasibility and options on a case by-case basis.
Support sales team with materials such as drawings, product models, assembly instructions, technical questions, etc.
Develop, lead, and facilitate organizational improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean, or standardized work practices.
Work with HR on interviewing and hiring new production team members, and provide reviews/disciplinary actions for personnel.
Coordinate and complete mandatory compliance reporting (EPA/OSHA/etc.)
Facilitate and coordinate day-to-day operation of production floor including purchasing of products or other tasks as required to maintain production.
Identify optimum shipping methodology for cost and product protection.
Mechanical aptitude preference for a bachelor s degree Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
0-3 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience in SolidWorks preferred
Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task.
Attention to detail able to understand and make product quality calls, or know when to involve additional support.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment independently with minimal supervision
Ability to coordinate work to meet delivery dates.
Working knowledge of UPS and/or FedEx shipping systems preferred
Must be able to lift at least 50 lb. Units during inspection.
