Job Description

Facilities Engineers are responsible for planning and supervising facility expansions, storage yard additions and new plant startup projects throughout North America. This includes developing detailed work scope and RFQ documents, leading contractor selection, managing key facility projects, and closely monitoring contractor performance. Additionally, the role supports a variety of manufacturing engineering projects and initiatives to adjust facility infrastructure as required for plant line moves and new equipment installation. Supports and implements our Company-wide energy initiatives. Also lends direct support to the Plant Services Engineering and supports safety improvement initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Lead and provide project management support to engineering group.
o Assist with companies roofing program
o Develop detailed capital requests as required
o General supervision of facility expansion and new plant startups, direct involvement with plant line moves & equipment installation
o Coordinate project Inspections and approvals o Provide project updates (Time & Budget)
o Assist Risk Management team with risk reduction initiatives
o Develop detailed RFQ s, select qualified contractors and execute AIA construction contracts or Purchase Orders as appropriate. O Perform AutoCAD drawings and functions while Maintaining Mechanical and Civil drawing files
o Assist with implementing PM Programs for new equipment and facilities

Job Skills:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
o Strong project management and procurement skills o Proficiency in Construction Contracts (AIA) and Contract Management
o Ability to navigate state and local Planning and Zoning requirements, and prepare applications o Ability to develop conceptual facility drawings, specifications and request for proposal (RFP s)
o Familiarity with Industrial support systems (power, compressed air, chiller, tower, etc.) o Proficient in AutoCAD
o Strong verbal and written communication
o Work autonomously and with minimal supervision o Ability to work within a Team environment
o Oracle proficiency (optional)

Educational Requirements:

o BS in Engineering preferably Civil Engineering or Construction Management o

Preferred Experience:

o At least 5 years in facilities engineering management or construction project management
o Experience working in and around industrial equipment
