Director of Dental Services

Acloche Medical has positions in the Columbus. The need for dental services for our current clients and for the communities where our health centers are located is great. The Director of Dental Services will provide leadership and hands-on practice of Dentistry in the dental clinics in the Columbus area or other service areas as the business model develops. The Director of will serve as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for the successful operation of all dental services. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who embraces organizational growth and is eager to participate in the innovative expansion of dental services resulting in high quality care and an excellent client experience.

other services can be developed into the program as it progresses
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Member of the senior leadership team collaborating with the Healthcare Operations team, Program Directors and Senior Executives
Perform direct patient dental services in the scope of the practice.
Ensure the care and service provided is culturally sensitive to the LGBTQ community, people living with HIV/AIDS, and other medically underserved individuals.
Hire and manage additional dentists, hygienists and dental support staff to meet the needs of expanding services and/or additional service locations.
Coordinate with corporate departments such as Facilities, Human Resources and Information Technology to ensure the program needs are met sufficient to support program goals.
Coordinate with corporate billing department on the accurate billing and collections for all dental services.
Select and maintain relationships with dental supply, equipment and software vendors to ensure the smooth and viable operation of the program.
Budget and fiscally manage the program to ensure viability.
Acquire and manage grants in coordination with corporate grant specialists to maintain, expand or develop additional dental services.
Represent Client with respect to dental services in the community, at fund raising events, and with trade organizations.
Collaborate with other service departments on overall care of patients; and with other dental service entities to ensure referral services are available and accessible by patients.
Maintain quality assurance/improvement by review of patient care, chart audits and leadership of dental QI in adoption of evidence based oral health strategies.
Education and experience:
D.S or D.M.D Degree
10 plus years in clinical practice
3 years minimum experience in Dental Program/Practice management
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE:
Current active unrestricted dental license with the authority to complete job responsibilities in applicable locations to meet scope of work OTHER INTERESTS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with providing dental services in a public health capacity.
Passion for and cultural competency in serving LGBT patients.
Demonstrated knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance coverage guidelines.
Ability to articulate and implement strategy and vision for Equitas Health that is consistent with the organization's strategic plan and reflective of regulatory requirements and constraints.
Comfort with a variety of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and electronic dental health records programs.
