SUMMARY
Use standardized procedures to sample, analyze, measure, and test the product. Record results to assist in the development and advancement of the product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Confer with management regarding appropriate daily assignments.
? Operate a digital camera and photography editing software to document test results in accordance with operational procedures.
? Maintain a clean, organized lab facility with proper care/storage of equipment and tools, and routine cleaning including countertops, cabinets, floors, filters and burn lab equipment.
? Maintain lab safety practices and policies.
? Perform ASTM D92 Cleveland open cup flash point analysis.
? Operate a Thermocouple thermometer and Infrared Thermometer equipment.
? Receive and log in samples into lab database.
? Perform candle burn evaluation and wick optimization by trimming wicks to lighting candles documenting date and start time, extinguishing candles, notifying supervisor of any abnormalities.
? Maintain burn sample retain program.
? Dispose of expired candles.
? May be asked to perform other duties as assigned that are not listed above.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Basic knowledge of using MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat software and MS Access a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.
